DUP Autumn Conference 2017
The DUP held their Autumn Conference on November 25 at La Mon Hotel, near Belfast. Over recent months, much attention has been dedicated to the political statements and activities of the UK's EU partners as the country inches towards Brexit day.
However, closer to home, for Theresa May, following her disastrous election result, the stance and makeup of the party's key ally in Northern Ireland has been of keen importance. With its 10 MPs, the Democratic Unionist Party, having agreed a confidence and supply agreement with the Conservatives, play a vital part in keeping May's government functioning, crucially through delivering the numbers needed in Parliament.
It was in this political context that Dods Monitoring and PoliticsHome were in Belfast to attend the DUP Annual Conference and produced this briefing providing an overview of the key activities on the day.
