A local man through and through, Coppard was born and raised in the constituency, attending local schools Dobcroft, Silverdale and High Storrs and playing football for Millhouses Juniors. He studied Politics and Parliamentary Studies at Leeds University, and has worked in the USA in Congress, and helped with Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection.
