Briefing on Digital Economy Bill
The Digital Economy Bill was announced during the Queen's Speech in May of this year. It aims to address rapid technological change and meet conservative manifesto pledges to "ensure everyone is part of the digital economy".
Following the second reading of the Bill, Dods ' consultant Victoria Hemmingway has produced a short briefing outlining its main provisions.
The briefing also provides context to the legislation, reactions from parliamentarians and stakeholders as well as details of next steps as it progresses through the House of Commons during committee stage.
